About Dr Sally-Anne Tommy

Sally-Anne Tommy is a qualified professional with specialised competences and over 30 years’ experience in Management and Consultancy, she combines senior level experience in both the public and private sector and is recognised at Government level as a sector expert in Health and Social Care particularly in the areas of Education and its links to people and Development.

She has a particularly strong track record in people focussed project work where social development and education are a key focus and advises the Boards of various corporations.

Her experience in structuring project finance emanates from an early career in Banking, as a qualified Banker, with Senior Roles in both Private and Merchant Banking. Since 2004 she has been consultant to Voluntarios Para Assistencia a Africa (VPAA), a charitable foundation that shares the mission of the World Bank part of the United Nations system, providing loans to countries of the world for capital programs with an official goal to reduce poverty and help build communities in the longer- term around the globe.

Her focus remains particularly in relation to building community capacity, fighting against poverty and all forms of exclusion and the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of people and of their family. She has to her position considerable knowledge in the sphere of education in its widest sense, and strongly holds the conviction that education is a key driver to change and development.
